Appliances are computers that, wash, dry, refrigerate, clean, and prepare the food you eat. Action happens 24/7 in each machine you own.
Unlike a lot of businesses, I do not schedule 8 appointments a day. I tend to schedule 1-3. I like to take my time, test everything I can in a logical manner and make sure I am able to diagnose a problem accurately and can prove it scientifically. I don’t take shortcuts or just replace parts. I need to know what the cause of your issue is.
Honesty is a lost art, people deserve honest answers and doing things the right way is only way I work. I admit I don’t know everything and ask my mentors questions if I run into an issue. I will take a break and confer to make sure I am analyzing my findings correctly. If something unexpected occurs, I will figure it out and explain your options and what can be done to resolve it.
This is the standard way to help, I would setup an appointment, come to you and diagnose and repair your machine. I have meters to measure everything from voltage to water pressure, wind pressure for your dryer, wifi connection and microwave levels. I also measure gas pressure, and many other electronic and electrical measurements depending the component in need of such measurements.
From free to $150.00 I can offer advice on your issue up to a complete repair as well as what potential repairs are available. I’ve been able to help at least 5 neighbors doing this and it’s been nice to save them some money.
First step in repair is the properly diagnose what is wrong.This is a vital step and I spend the most time on this. I reaserch your issue a minimum of 2 hours prior to my visit. I analyse the circuitry, and wiring diagram of your machine. I view the system function and how that function is suppose to work. Surprisingly, every function is a unique system, from the slide out of a freezer, to how the spin cycle of a front load washing machine works. Each is a related system with continued checks to ensure each component is functioning and allows your product to be efficient, reliable, and working to the factory specifications.
PLEASE BE AWARE, CERTAIN MACHINES MAY HAVE MORE THAN ONE PROBLEM. ABOUT 5% OF THE TIME, I WILL HIRED TO REPAIR ONE PROBLEM TO FIND THERE ARE OTHER PROBLEMS. THOSE TIMES MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL FEES TO BE DISCUSSED AT THAT TIME.
I charge $85.00 for a stand alone appliance. (Additional fee for Wall Ovens, 36” and larger stoves, stacked washer and dryers, and all in one laundry stations). The Additional fee is $50-100.00 depending on difficulty or accessibility of the appliance.,such as appliances located in or closet or enclosed structure, or a small area with limited space to move.
I guarantee the final diagnosis is 100% correct. sometimes my original diagnosis will be incorrect. However, I will never charge for a diagnosis if I cannot be 100% certain. I will start over and diagnose a machine until I find the root of your problem. No fee if I cannot prove 100% what your problem is.
As of April 15, 2024 I have been forced to have signed agreements for all Diagnosis jobs. As of August 30, 2024 OEM parts warranties have changed to 90 days.

IN CONSIDERATION OF THE COVENANTS and agreements contained in this Sales Agreement, the parties to this Agreement agree as follows:
Sale of Diagnostic Services:
The Servicer is providing technical testing and diagnostic services. Including visual, audible, tactile testing. Along with mechanical, electrical, and machine diagnostic test measurements. All tests are to determine cause of the malfunctioning appliance comparing test results with factory specifications listed in support documents provided by the manufacturer of the appliance.
Servicer is not responsible for technical errors listed in the support documents such as incorrect values or wiring diagrams and schematic errors.. Servicer is also not responsible for replacement part defects unless attributed to faulty installation such as a missing bolt or or incorrect wiring by the technician.
The Purchaser accepts the Purchase price of diagnostic fee plus any special rental equipment identified prior to service visit to be paid as follows:
Diagnostic Price $85.00 Eighty-Five Dollars, Air Sled rental fee for large ovens and stack washer and dryers fee: $50.00. AllDolly rental fee for wall ovens, and stacked dryers: $50.00.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you enter into a contract with LA Repair Tech to do work for you (the “Customer”), the following terms and conditions (“General Terms and Conditions of Service”) will apply to the services we perform and the replacement part(s) or other goods we provide. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with these General Terms and Conditions of Service, prior to allowing our technician to commence work. Allowing our technician to commence service constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions detailed herein.
NON-REFUNDABLE SERVICE CHARGE-DIAGNOSTIC FEE.
We charge a non-refundable service fee (the “Service Charge-Diagnostic Fee”) for all non-warranty visits to the Customer’s residence or business. The Service Charge-Diagnostic Fee will be quoted to you prior to our visit. This fee covers costs incurred by us for travel and the performance of diagnostic services by LA Repair Tech. By accepting the Service Order, you acknowledge and agree to a) to pay the Service Charge-Diagnostic Fee in full whether LA Repair Tech performs recommended repairs or not; and b) that the Service Charge-Diagnostic Fee will be included in the total cost to repair in the event that Customer agrees to have LA Repair Tech perform the recommended repair or replacement. If applicable, sales tax will be included in the total quoted Price.
PAYMENT TERMS AND COLLECTION COSTS
Payment is due and will be collected upon completion of the services unless we agree otherwise specified in writing. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Any returned check or bank draft will be charged a processing fee of $50.00. You agree to pay all expenses incurred by LA Repair Tech for the collection of any unpaid amounts including, but not limited to all attorney’s fees, filing fees, and costs. Past due amounts shall bear interest at the annual rate of 18%, or the maximum otherwise allowed by law, whichever is less.
LIMITED WARRANTY OEM MANUFACTURES WARRANTY IS 90 DAYS ALL OTHERS ARE 30 DAYS
For repairs, parts, and services provided by us, we warrant to you that the repairs, parts, and service we provide to you will be free from defects in material and workmanship unless otherwise discussed and noted on the Invoice. The duration of the workmanship (labor) warranty is 1 year from as applicable (i) the date of your receipt of the part, or (ii) the date of repair or service. If during this 1 year period you discover a defect in the labor,, or service you must promptly notify LA Repair Tech. The obligation for defective workmanship, and Customer’s exclusive remedy, shall be limited, at LA Repair Tech option, to the diagnosis. of the appliance's workmanship if workmanship is found to be incorrect or has failed LA Repair Tech will the refund of amounts paid by Customer for said service or repair the appliance again. Parts are limited warranty of. 90 days or 30 days depending on OEM or 3rd party, or used or remanufactured. If customer has supplied parts there is no warranty for parts or labor. All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval by LA Repair Tech.
The foregoing warranties do not apply in any manner to the following: a) repair or replacement of any appliances used for any commercial or industrial application; b) cosmetic or non-functional parts, including but not limited to glass, trim, knobs, panels, racks, tanks, tubs, baskets, structural parts, doors, door liners, and shelves; c) plumbing supply water lines to any appliance, whether replaced or recommended for replacement by LA Repair Tech; d) repair of any appliance that has been moved from the location at which it was originally repaired or installed by LA Repair Tech or e) repairs on appliances for which parts are no longer available from the original manufacturer. Additionally, LA Repair Tech shall be under no legal obligation to honor any warranty set forth herein unless the Customer has paid all amounts owed under the applicable Price Quote.
THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THESE WARRANTIES EXTEND ONLY TO CUSTOMERS.
Limitation of Damages
LA Repair Tech SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY special, incidental, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT.LA Repair Tech’ liability for damages is limited to the amount actually paid by the customer. THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT APPLY TO CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These General Terms and Conditions of Service and each Service Order constitute the complete agreement (“Agreement”) between Freedom Appliance Repair and Customer and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements or representations, written or oral.
GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Ca. without regard to its choice of law principles. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration conducted by a Ca. court of law, in accordance with the Federal Arbitration Act and pursuant to the Commercial Rules of the American Arbitration Association.
DAMAGE WAIVERS
It is the responsibility of the customer to familiarize themselves with waivers we have in place surrounding the provision of any services we provide. We only provide services under these waivers and our price is based on the customer accepting our waivers. By requesting that we perform the work, you are accepting our waivers. If one or part of these waivers is found to not be enforceable that will not prevent the remaining waivers from being enforced.
Waiver of Damages When Moving Appliance
You understand there is an inherent risk when moving appliances. There is a risk of damage to the machine itself, and to areas surrounding its installation, including but not limited to flooring, cabinetry, and countertops. You acknowledge the technician is not required to move the appliance. In exchange for his willingness to do so, you promise to hold harmless both the technician and LA Repair Tech from any and every liability associated with any such damage as may occur in connection with this movement.
Waiver of Damages When Working with Water
You understand the machinery that’s being worked on is connected with the building’s plumbing system, and whenever any machinery is so connected, there is an inherent risk that component failure, imperfect connections, and/or other faults could result in unintended leakage and/or flooding within the building, causing significant and sometimes catastrophic damage. Excepting for cases of gross, clearly proven, and explicitly identifiable negligence by the technician, you promise to hold harmless both the technician and LA Repair Tech, its principals, agents, and employees from any and all damages, harms, or liability that may result from such an occurrence. By allowing the technician to commence work, you explicitly waive the right to any contrary claim.
Waiver of Damages from Failed Cooling Equipment
You understand that, like any machinery, refrigeration equipment consists of a multiplicity of complex components, any of which can fail without warning, and that any effort to service and/or repair the same carries inherent risks. Diagnoses are not always straightforward, and, even when carefully performed, repair this equipment and/or service work may involve imperfections that result in failure of the machinery to perform as intended. Such failures may lead to food spoilage, discomfort, inconvenience, and (particularly in commercial contexts) even loss of revenue as associated with canceled or failed events, inability to service customers, etc. You acknowledge that, by undertaking to service and/or repair your equipment, LA Repair Tech is not accepting responsibility for any such risks. You agree all such risks are your own (and/or your company’s) alone, and you agree to hold harmless and exempt from liability David Fukumoto, d/b/a LA Repair Tech its agents, and employees from any and all such harms. By allowing the technician to commence work, you explicitly waive the right to any contrary claim.
Waiver of Damages from Lifting Glass Cook Top
You understand that, in lifting a glass/ceramic cooktop surface to access components below it, there is an inherent risk of breakage. The top is attached with strong adhesive, and it is not always possible to achieve separation without surface fracturing. While expecting the technician to exercise every due level of care, you nevertheless recognize that LA Repair Tech explicitly refrain from accepting any responsibility for these risks. You agree all such risks are your own (and/or your company’s) alone, and you agree to hold harmless and exempt from LA Repair Tech its agents, and employees from any and all such responsibility. By allowing the technician to commence work, you explicitly waive the right to any contrary claim.
Once a full diagnostic has occurred, I will present a provable scientific overview of what happened to your appliance. I will show you on meters or visibly what is not correct.
I will write out a full estimate of the cost and time frame to repair your machine. If you agree
I guarantee my repair will fix your problem. Occasionally I will repair a problem, only t find another problem in which case we will discuss options.
Sometimes we will be diagnosing.a problem and notice yearly maintenance that could be rectified or other job changes that the property owner will want and that will incur a job change fee. This will be discussed and agreed to.
Jobs are COD on the day of the Diagnosis, or Repair to be paid in full. On 2nd day repair due to parts, the property owner will pay for the part cost added to the diagnostic fee.

Some manufacturers omit technical information needed to repair appliances, if this should occur I will inform you once I am reading the technical documents and confer the best course of action.
You can cancel with 24 hours notice at no cost, if you do not show up or I have no way to enter your home due to non-emergency situations you will be responsible for the service fee.
I take no liability for injuries or damages to your home or appliance offering advice. I will need to know your level of experience with working with electricity DC/AC/240V/Gas/Water. Appliances are dangerous and serious injuries can occur.
If we run into a question about my testing methods or you are unhappy with my diagnosis and another company determines my diagnosis was incorrect, I will refund the Diagnostic Service fee.
Replacement parts can vary in price depending on who is making the parts. Factory parts are quite expensive and I will inform you of your options. However, Amazon and other non-factory options have different warranty and life expectancy vs. Factory replacement parts. We can discuss your options.
I am happy to offer a 1 year warranty on my labor. If the same issue is attributed to my OEM replacement parts and repair, I will return and repair the service failure at no labor cost. The parts are extra unless within 90 days of installation. 30 days parts warranty if the item is 3rd party or remanufactured or used. No warranty if the part is supplied by the customer. If the problem is related to another issue, then a normal service fee and repair fee will be discussed.
